Be concise in your answers and distinct in your speech.

Be honest.
-
Make eye contact with your interviewers.

Smile!
-
Be courteous and polite.
-
Ask questions about the job and make sure that you are clear about compensation, the job description, or any other details about the job.
DO NOT
-
Lie! Tell the truth at all times. The interviewers are experienced human resource professionals. They can tell whether you are embellishing your credentials or not.
-
Apply for jobs you have no intention to accept.
-
Be too casual or confident about the interview.
-
Be aggressive or interrupt your interviewers.
-
Fidget when being interviewed.
-
Be critical or negative about your past employers or school.
-
Accept a position unless you are convinced that the job suits you and that you suit the job.
REMEMBER
-
Assess the qualifications and experience needed for the job for which you wish to apply. If you do not have adequate qualifications or experience, tell the interviewer what you intend to do about this.
-
Give the interview the preparation that the occasion demands.
